A stunning Italian kitchen worth £10,000 from Acorn Lifestyle will be up for grabs at a public auction on Sunday 8 November with all proceeds going to the PPBF.
The auction of the stage kitchen will take place at around 3.00pm on the final day of the Guernsey Homelife Show. During the weekend a number of local food and drink experts will use the kitchen to demonstrate their skills to the public. This will include wine and chocolate tasting along with other types of general cooking. A number of students from the College of Further Education will also be taking part in the weekend’s activities.
The kitchen is from a Venice based company and has a beautiful finish of Geo Fenix Blanco & Wood. The successful bidder will receive a fully fitted kitchen inclusive of leading brand Neff appliances.
‘We love that the public are going to be able to interact with the kitchen during the weekend and we thought an auction for a local charity would be a great idea,’ explains Sandra Robinson, Showroom Manager at Acorn Lifestyle. ‘I heard about the Priaulx Premature Baby Foundation through my partner and we agreed that helping out a charity that does so much for local families would be a fun way to end what is set to be a successful weekend.’
‘We hope that this will raise awareness about the work that we are currently doing,’ adds Jo Priaulx, co-founder of the PPBF. ‘We would like to thank Sandra and the team at Acorn Lifestyle for their generosity. I’m sure that once people see the kitchen, the bidding will become very competitive!’
The PPBF is looking to purchase an additional property in Southampton to offer a, ‘home from home’ to parents with poorly children during critical treatment. The money raised by Acorn Lifestyle’s auction will help to bring the charity another step closer to achieving this goal, as well as continuing to assist the Neo Natal Unit in Guernsey.
