As part of its charity and community work, global communications provider JT Global asked each staff member in Guernsey to vote for a local charity of their choice. The charity with the most votes receives support from the company and its team throughout the year, and we’re delighted to tell you that the PPBF has been successful!
JT has set a fundraising target of £20,000 across its global offices and the team hope to purchase 200 bricks for The Burrow.
Brick by brick
The idea behind our #buyabrick campaign is that donations of £5 will count as one virtual brick. All of these virtual bricks will come together allowing us to purchase a real property of our very own once £150,000 has been raised.
The property will be called The Burrow and it will be next to Southampton Hospital. It will provide accommodation to families across the Bailiwick whose premature baby or little one requires off-island medical care. Finding somewhere to stay at the very last minute is extremely stressful, and we want to offer as much practical and emotional support as possible to families going through difficult times.
Every brick counts!
A few words from JT
‘We’re really pleased to announce our support for The Priaulx Premature Baby Foundation in Guernsey as part of our 2016 global charity commitment. This cause provides invaluable support to families going through the unimaginably daunting experience of a premature birth or seriously ill child, and by supporting them this year we are able to collectively give something back to our local community and help improve the lives of those around us.’ – Tamara O’Brien, JT’s Head of Marketing.
An annual Charity Day will be held in June and we can’t wait to find out what the team has planned! Thank you JT.
